Kathy Pawka, P.h.D., is an Associate Consultant at CannDelta. She supports clients in navigating the rapidly evolving and highly regulated cannabis industry with a strategic and informed approach. With a strong background in scientific and technical writing, she is dedicated to helping clients achieve their business objectives. Kathy has worked with clients in both the U.S. Virgin Islands and Canada, assisting with license application submissions and preparing for retail store inspections.
She holds an M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the University of Guelph, where her research focused on developing a novel animal model for heart regeneration. Her work explored the molecular, cellular, structural, and functional changes following injury and during regeneration, offering valuable insights into the biology of regeneration and its evolutionary implications.
In addition to her academic achievements, Kathy has professional experience as a histotechnologist in a highly regulated technical laboratory. She brings extensive expertise in Quality Assurance and technical documentation. Her strong foundation in biology and her hands-on experience in regulated environments provide her with a well-rounded perspective that translates effectively to the cannabis industry.
